Shelley Peach Summer Glory Chintz-Oleander Bone China Footed Teacup/Saucer

  

This is a Shelley England fine bone china footed cup and matching saucer in the Oleander shape with the Summer Glory Chintz pattern and heavy burnished gold trim. Cup and saucer have light peach color exteriors. The cup is Shelley number 13417. This pair was gifted to my grandmother for her birthday in the late 1940's, where she displayed it in her china cabinet. After her passing, my mother kept this in her curio cabinet for several decades.

I do not think these were ever used for tea or coffee --- only display. The cup is 2.25 inches high by 4.25 inches in diameter and the saucer is 5.5 inches diameter.
