12 pc Tea Set - Tea Cups, Saucers, & Cake Plates. In the romantic floral tradition of Royal Albert the much sort after - Greenwood has been favorite with lovers of fine china for over eight decades. Set against a backdrop of fine white translucent china the hand painted romantic woodland scene features the "Greenwood" Tree under planted with colourful magenta tulips, dark blue anemones and yellow daisies which are soften against the the background trees of mauve blossom. The scene is repeated on both sides of the cups and spills up and over the rim. 4 x Contess Shaped Tea Cup (approx 1 std cup/ 250 ml).

4 x Saucer (approx 14 cm dia). 4 x Square Cake Plate (approx 16cm dia). Free from chips, cracks or crazing. The pattern is bright and colourful.

This lovely set carries an original Royal Albert back stamp which was used on the Greenwood Tree pattern from 1927 until post WW2. This set was made at the change over of the back stamp in 1935. The saucer and plate carries the back stamp which was used from 1927 until 1935 and the cups carry the back stamp which was used from 1935 until the 1940's.

The may be because a different style of cup was requested The back stamp on all three pieces carries. Picture for illistration only of optional extra.
