Quatrefoile Teacup Saucer Sets Alexandra Shape Leaf Bowl Solid Pattern Antique

  

This is an unusual teacup and saucer set in the Alexandra / Quatrefoil shape. It includes 5 cups and 7 saucers. The cups are an off white/cream on the outside with solid color on the interior. They are shaped almost like open flowers or plants. All are stamped with the same number, which is either S01, 301, or 105.

There are no maker's marks but these were clearly made by a company that knew what it was doing. They came from an estate with a nice collection of unusual teacups and saucers of German, French and English origin.

BLUE cup and saucer: cup has a chip and a bad crack. Both have crazing, plate also shows some wear. PINK cup and saucer have bad crazing and the plate has had a repair. GREEN cup has light staining inside, plate is crazed.

PURPLE: plate has light scratches, but neither cup nor saucer show crazing. YELLOW cup is crazed and missing the handle.

TEAL plates: 1 has light cosmetic wear, one is crazed. Some wear to gold trim throughout. Despite the damage this is a rare and interesting set that should appeal to any porcelain collector.
