DESCRIPTION: Paragon's very rare, beautiful Wild Roses with yellow ground pedestal tea cup and saucer set with the double warrant stamp! It features wild, yellow and white roses and green leaves, set against a rich, yellow ground with a bright white exterior. The centers of the flowers are hand enameled in green, and both pieces are trimmed with hand painted gold. Now discontinued, this pattern was manufactured from 1939 to 1949. It was available in yellow and pink ground.

COLORS: Yellow, green, white, & gold. A couple, tiny spots in the gold trim of the saucer, a couple light scratches along a flower petal, a few white specks in the yellow ground of the saucer, and a couple, light scratches on the white underside of the saucer. TEA CUP HEIGHT: 2 3/8 in (6 cm). TEA CUP WIDTH: 3 15/16 in (10 cm) / 4 7/8 in (12.4 cm) including the handle. SAUCER HEIGHT: 1 in (2.5 cm).

SAUCER DIAMETER: 5 9/16 in (14 cm). MARKINGS: Both the tea cup and the saucer are stamped on the bottom with the double warrant backstamp used from 1939 to 1949. Also at this time, Paragon began its move towards creating a smokeless factory, installing electric kilns. The 1960s saw the company change hands several times, owned for a while by T. Wild, then forming part of Allied English Potteries, then becoming part of Royal Doulton.
