Gorgeous Antique Chinese Rose Medallion Tea Pot & (1) Cups In Wicker Case

  
Antique Asian Teapot in Padded Warming Wicker Basket. See pics for conditions and descriptions. This fabulous item is a 19th Century tea pot, complete with one cup. It comes with its original wicker carrying case.

It was used then as we use our lunch boxes or picnic baskets today. The tea pot is decorated with hand paintings of birds, flowers and people. It has the typical pink and green coloring found on this type of ware. There is a removable lid and handle.

The tea pot is 5 3/4 tall with the lid. It has a base diameter of 4 1/2. It is in good antique condition, with only some minor gold loss to the rim of the spout. It has the same floral and people decorations and match perfectly with the tea pot. It measures 2 1/4" tall and have a top diameter of 2 5/8". To me the best part of this antique is the straw or wicker original case. It has an oval shape and brass fittings. The lining is in wonderful condition. It is mostly pink and red floral, with one section showing green leaves. The wicker shows some discoloration, and very minimal loss to the wicker (substantially more than 99 percent intact).
