Antique Worcester Tea Cup & Saucer, Butterflies, Jeweled
This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1876. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ¼ inches and the cup is 2 5/8 inches in diameter. The set is made of fine, white bone china. The ground color is robins egg blue. Spectacular butterflies and beautiful flora are suspended on the surface, so real they could flutter away.
This is the aesthetic style at its loveliest. Raised gold beading trims the rims. There are gilded accents on the handle and just inside the cup. Treasures of nature inspire the most beautiful work.
