ANTIQUE SET OF 6 TEACUPS AND SAUCERS GIVEN IN 1857 TO MARY SANDERS AS RECOGNITION FOR A QUILT SHE CREATED. In all my days I personally have never found something so unique as this set of teacups and saucers. It is truly a collector's item. The teacups and saucers are trimmed in gold. The main teacup is marked'Presented to Mary Sanders, 13th Exhibition, DMF, for a quilt, 1857. The remaining five teacups are marked M.

What an incredible way to salute an individual for creating something of such beauty. The cups and saucers are in remarkable condition for their 164 year old lifetime.
