Antique Royal Doulton, Snack Plate And Cup, Art Deco, 4 Sets, Tennis Tea Set, Made in England 1914, Snack Sets. Fabulous and RARE, are these Royal Doulton snack plates and cups, 4 Sets (8 Pieces). The art deco porcelain E9782 Tennis Tea Sets were made in England in 1914. They have the green lion with crown stamp, with the letter "o" for the year 1914, the year they were made.

The snack plates each measure approx 6 1/4 diameter. The matching cups are 3 1/4" diameter at the rim x 4" including the handle x 1 7/8 tall. The plates have a formed ring for placement of the matching cups, on the side of the saucer rather than in the center. The cups and snack plates have an art deco geometric design in black border and green trim and green handle on the cups. The background is a creamy white.

All 8 piece, 4 sets of snack plates and cups/tennis tea sets, are in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks and no crazing. Add these gorgeous snack sets to your home serving pieces. In 1901, the company introduced a new Doulton mark with the lion, crown and'intersecting D motif'. From 1901 to 1922 the standard mark appears with the words'Royal Doulton' and'England' to celebrate the grant of the Royal Warrant to Doulton by King Edward VII in 1901. An impressed shield is also present which includes a lower case letter.
