CONDITION: Slight wear to gilding on rims. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France around 1830.
It is unsigned but has the impressed straw marks Paris porcelain often has on the bottom of the saucer. The design is reminiscent of work by Jacob Petit. The saucer measures 5 1/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 1/8 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The design has 12 panels, green alternating with white. Both colors are hand decorated with raised gold or ornate hand painted designs. The inside of the cup has a wide gold band and there is rich gold trim on the handle and rims.
The Post Office requires this.
