Antique Nymphenburg Tea Cup & Saucer Scenic

There is a tiny bit of loss to gilding near the bottom of the handle. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890s. The saucer is 5 ¼ inches in diameter and 1 ¼ inches deep.

The cup is 2 1/4 inches high and has a diameter of 3 ¼ inches. The porcelain is fine and translucent. The ground color is cobalt blue. There is a hand painted Watteau scene on the front of the cup. Century couple are enjoying the garden.

They are colorfully dressed and painted in fine detail. A hand gilded frame encircles the scene. The saucer has gilded flowers and flower sprigs. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. Was very similar to the high quality of Meissen and KPM.
