CONDITION: The bottom of the saucer has a flaw in the glaze that looks like a craze line. The porcelain is very thick and this line is only on the surface like a scratch. It does not show on the top side at all and it rings like a bell.
This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ½ inches and the cup is 2 ½ inches high without the handle.The cup features a pedestal base and scrolled, split handle. The set is hand painted with life-like flowers in bright colors.
A few butterflies and insects flutter about attracted to the flowers.
