Antique Meissen Imari Style Tea Cup & Saucer, Quatrefoil

  
CONDITION: The saucer has a minor restoration on the rim and the cup has a spot in the glaze. The foot ring on the saucer has a firing crack with a hairline crack emanating from it. In spite of these flaws it still displays well. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1880. The saucer measures 5 1/8 inches long, 4 3/8 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep.

The set has a 4 sided or quatrefoil shape. The decoration is Asian influenced and the pattern is named.

Brightly colored stylized flowers spill across the porcelain. The inner rims of both pieces have bright borders enhanced with gold. It is a popular design that is very desirable. FOR OUR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE US.
