A fine antique 18th century English moulded porcelain saucer for a tea cup. By Philip Christian of Liverpool, England. With a gilt floral device to the center, surrounded by a molded sunburst pattern that gives way to leaves near the edges.
The rim is decorated with blue underglaze floral swags and is gilded as well. Marked to the base with an antique label that reads CB231 / Liverpool / Christian / c. Simply a great English porcelain saucer! It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips or repairs. There is a hairline crack to the rim, some small spots of glaze loss, and some minor rubbing to the gilding.
Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Please see our other related items. The full value is the items sale price. Thanks for looking and good luck!
