Antique Haviland Limoges Tea & Biscuit Tray

  

Condition: Excellent, without chips, cracks, wear or repair. This porcelain tea cup and biscuit tray was produced in France by Haviland & Co. The tray measures 8 5/8 inches long and 7 inches wide. The cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The set is colored a lovely teal blue.

The factory transfer design of delicate pink flowers and foliage is enhanced with elaborate gilding that overlays the design. It is both inside and outside of the cup. The blank is a Ransom blank with crimped edges on the rim of the tray and a ribbon shaped handle on the cup. Notice how they molded a handle on the tray for you to hold.
