Antique Elite Limoges Tea Cup & Saucer, Art Nouveau Tulips, Artist Signed
CONDITION: Excellent, without defects of any kind. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by Bawo & Dotter Limoges otherwise known as "Elite Limoges" in the 1890s.
It has two markings indicating that the porcelain and the decoration are both from he factory. There is an artist's signature in the decoration. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches.
The cup is 2 inches tall with a diameter of 2 5/8 inches. The set is hand painted in art nouveau style. The tulips are brilliantly colored and abundant gilding was used. The handle has a little flower shape and t he cup has a scalloped base. Little details like these are what make this cup and saucer so special. The Post Office requires this.
