There is slight wear to the sunburst around the well of the saucer. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Italy by Capodimonte in the 1890s. The saucer is 5 1/2 in diameter. The cup is 2" tall with a diameter of 3 1/2". The two pieces are molded in high relief with intricate designs and figures. The handle is a twisted branch with leaves at the ends. The body of the cup has frieze figures, some half nude, frolicking in the meadow. They are hand painted with bright enamel colors. The saucer has an elaborate design that covers the entire surface. Wreaths, arabesques and a sun burst around the well are colored in vivid enamels. The interior of the cup, well of the saucer, rims and handle are trimmed with gold. FOR OUR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE US.
