This rare and hard to find antique two-piece tea cup and saucer set by Aynsley, number 13016 manufactured in the UK in 1880s and 1890s boasts a beautiful floral pattern in gold filigree on a wide cobalt blue band and white bone China. The bone china material, painted design of trailing roses and a cross hatched cartouche on either side of the cup and the saucer with its gilded trailing roses, and it's Victorian style adds to its charm. The set includes a saucer measuring 5.5 inches, a cup that is 3.5 inches in diameter and 2.28 inches high, and can hold both hot and cold beverages. The tea cup and saucer set is in its original and authentic state, perfect for collectors of vintage items.
This item is sure to impress and make a great addition to any collection. The gold flowers on the saucers cup rest has a slight fading I don't think it is from use because all the saucers have it to some degree.
A creamer and open sugar with saucer under plate and a cake dish will be offered in separate auctions.
