Antique Wehsner Dresden Tea Cup & Saucer
Condition: There is extremely light wear to gilding around well of cup. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Wehsner Dresden in the 1890s. The saucer is 5 3/4 in diameter.
The cup is 2 3/4" high with a diameter of 3 1/2". The cup features a pedestal base. The outside of the cup is hand painted with a scene of children playing. The painting is highly detailed and the colors are vivid.
The edge of the saucer has a green band accented with raised white enamel beads. The entire saucer is coated with gold and there are raised gold decorations and beaded trim.
